• From July 1993 … 30 years ago … and still in fair to good condition, this is the “Reign of the Supermen” issue # 78 of Superman featuring the Man of Steel, Cyborg and President Bill Clinton! "Reign of the Supermen!" was a multi-part storyline published in alternating Superman titles from June-October of 1993. The story followed events that first took place during the "Death of Superman" storyline, as well as the follow-up story-arc "Funeral for a Friend". • See photos to check overall condition. Rare to find a comic book this old in great shape, and this one shows some light staining and edge wear to the front cover, a less than firm binding and a label on the back cover. Not professionally graded but stored upright for decades by original owner in acid-free sleeve with cardboard backing in a smoke-free house. Please review the photos carefully to evaluate yourself. • EXECUTIVE EDITOR: Dick Giordano • COVER ARTISTS: Dan Jurgens, Brett Breeding, Glenn Whitmer - PROVE IT. •WRITER: Dan Jurgens • PENCILER: Dan Jurgens • INKER: Brett Breeding • COLOURIST: Glenn Whitmore • LETTERER: John Costanza • EDITOR: Mike Carlin • New Daily Planet reporter Ronald Troupe is out to "prove himself" as a worthy successor to Clark Kent when he goes to report the story of a lifetime: whether the Cyborg Superman truly is Superman. Traveling to Washington, D.C., Ronald manages to meet with Maxwell Lord outside the White House as he is on his way to an appointment with the U.S. President when Qurac terrorists attack. Cyborg Superman comes on the scene to take out the terrorists, but becomes a victim of the White House's defense computer systems as they fire upon him while Ronald and Maxwell take cover. The President personally thanked Cyborg Superman for his intervention and acknowledged him as being the one true Superman. Daily Planet editor Perry White reads Troupe's article and realizes that the young man has what it takes to be a successor to Clark Kent. - Characters: • Cyborg (Hank Henshaw) • Jimmy Olsen • Jonathan Kent • Lana Lang • Lois Lane • Martha Kent • Perry White • Pete Ross • Ron Troupe • Bill Clinton • Maxwell Lord • Oberon • Offers accepted and questions gladly answered. • Shipped extra securely, bagged and boarded, with tracking. • A great collectible in excellent condition for any fan of the DC Universe and the Man of Steel!!!
